2017 Reflections

As we head into 2018, I am taking the time to reflect on how amazing this past year has been. This was such a groundbreaking year for me in so many ways. I feel like I became an adult in a sense. I started a new job at my dream company, I revamped my consulting business, and I really began taking my blogging journey seriously. I became more transparent than I have ever been publicly, and my heart smiled over the outpouring of support from my readers and followers. I still cherish and appreciate that moment to this day. I watched my son grow from a little baby to a little big boy, and I still can’t

believe what I’m seeing. It’s so hard to believe that he took his first steps earlier this year when I can barely keep up with him these days.

April 2017:

November 2017:

I hosted numerous giveaways, teamed up with my readers for a huge holiday donation, and partnered with several different brands for great causes and experiences. I was so happy to attend Ipsy’s Generation Beauty for the first time. I learned a lot about what to expect at big conferences. I see myself attending many more in the future, and now I know how to be prepared!

This holiday season allowed me to introduce my son to Santa in so many different ways. We had a wonderful experience at HGTV’s Santa HQ, and we will cherish those moments forever. This event stands out to me because my son thoroughly enjoyed himself. It was like he actually captured the feeling of Christmas in the holiday sense, and interacting with Santa and his Elves brought him so much joy.

I participated in Blogmas, which forced me to really make a commitment to my blog. Blogmas ultimately forced me to take inventory of the things that are important in life. Committing myself to posting every single day forced me to see that my blog is actually very important to me, and it showed me that I need to continue nurturing and growing it like I would do with a baby. For the new year I plan to bring you guys many collaborations, events, and experiences that we can all enjoy. Most of all, I plan to remain consistent. Going forward I will be putting myself on a posting schedule. It won’t be every single day, but in due time you will be able to come to my blog on specific days to see new posts.  Time flies and I want to be sure to enjoy every moment of 2018. I will try my best to share most of them with you guys. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to keep up with me, and I hope you all have a great, happy, healthy, and prosperous new year! 🙂
