Blogmas Day 5 – Winter Beauty Products For Babies

I’m not sure if it’s the cold weather or just that Jaylin’s growing, but I’m feeling like I’ve been having the hardest time taming his curls and keeping his skin clear. When he was younger his doctor told me that he had slight eczema, which I always feel so horrible about because truthfully I never noticed it. The doctor pointed it out to me by letting me feel the difference in the dry patches and the soft skin. You couldn’t see it, but you could feel it. Thank God it didn’t seem to be bothering him, but it still bothered me that I

didn’t notice it. Since then I’ve been very adamant about checking his skin and using specific products for him. We’ve been using Aveeno soap and shampoo for awhile now. We’ve also been using Cantu Kids conditioner for his hair. For some reason I’ve been noticing that for the past few weeks the Aveeno body wash has been really drying out his skin, to the point of the eczema becoming visible, and his hair just totally stopped absorbing the Cantu hair conditioner that I was originally using. I have no idea what changed, but I immediately went into action. For the past few weeks I’ve changed up on his products, and I felt it was time to do an update since this one.

Aveeno Shampoo: This product is still doing a great job in helping me manage his hair. His hair immediately softens as soon as it is applied. I hope it continues to be good to us!

Cantu Detangler Conditioner: This is one of our new products, and it is a miracle worker! It allows me to comb right through his curls and it maintains his texture. I love it!

Cantu Shea Butter Super Shine:  Jaylin’s hair has always been so dry. I’ve always tried to stick with children’s products, so I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing, but I’m so glad I did! A little goes a long way and it maintains the shine for 2-3 days. It doesn’t change the texture at all.

Aveeno Eczema Therapy: This lotion is a tad expensive, but it’s so worth it. It’s literally the ONLY product currently keeping the eczema away.

Baby Magic Baby Bath: This product is a new one for us. I love it! It lathers well and the scent is not too strong. It works very well with the Aveeno Eczema Therapy. We recently ran out of the Baby Magic, and I think that increased the chances of the eczema break out. Can’t wait to buy more!

Do you have any other/better products I should try if these don’t hold up?
