Me Time & OMG Masks Review

Since returning to NYC from LA I’ve been trying my best to readjust back to my normal schedule. It’s like I came back and jumped straight into mommy, business, employee mode, without really taking a step back to settle down. I don’t think that’s a good or bad thing. I’m just doing what I have to do. Last night my body’s tiredness finally caught up to me and I decided to give in. I wasn’t sleepy. I was actually very energized. I just didn’t feel like moving. After putting Jaylin to bed I decided to have some me time. I’ve been itching to try these OMG Masks and I figured it was now or never.

I had also been wanting to try a few recipes from an event I went to a few weeks ago. It was a cooking class at Sur La Table and it was hosted by HBO in anticipation of their hit show “Divorce”. I settled on the meal they debuted at the event since it was the most simple and it was the only one I actually had every ingredient for. It was called: Chicken Salad French Toast, and it was scrumptious! This picture doesn’t do it justice so I’ve provided the full recipe below. Please try it, thank me later! šŸ˜¬

While the food was cooking I decided to move forward with the mask application. It was a two step process so the package came with two masks. The first mask was kind of soapy because it’s supposed to give your face a deep clean. The directions say that you can apply the mask with or without make-up which is a huge plus. I applied it without make up. It felt like having a damp towel on my face. It was soothing, and I could see and feel the mask becoming more soapy as it rested on my skin. The directions instructed me to leave it on for 1-3 minutes which I did. I then put on mask # 2. This one was not as wet or soapy. It was kind of like a slightly oily texture. It felt really good on my skin because it kind of snuggled to my face the longer I wore it, which was about 20 minutes per the instructions. The texture was sticky on my hand but not on my face. It gave me a tingly feeling like an icy/hot ointment, but it didn’t burn at all. I decided not to wear make up today after doing the masks because I really wanted to see if my skin would have any type of reaction to them. Thankfully it did not. I would definitely use this again! It was the perfect addition to the relaxing night I had.
